	MID-WINTER WALLEYES By Bob Jensen During this period of the ice-fishing season, walleyes can get a little tough to catch for some folks. There are a couple of reasons for this slowing in the action. The primary reason is that too many anglers who have permanent icehouses have been sitting on the same spot for too long.

	A NEW ROD FOR A NEW FISHING SEASON By Bob Jensen A new fishing season brings excitement to different anglers in different ways. Some anglers are just anxious to start a new fishing season. Others are looking to explore new waters or new techniques. Many anglers like to add a new product or two to their fishing arsenal, and many of those anglers are right now looking for a new rod to try. Here are some ideas on selecting that new rod.

			June Fishing Gallery This beautiful male Steel Head was caught on in May of 2003 off of Isle Royale. Our friend definitely put his time and effort in to catch this guy. A few hours later, it was cooked up on the grill.
				May Fishing Gallery This huge walleye was caught in April of 2003 on Lake Erie. This pig came in at 14 lbs, 31 inches long and had a 21 inch girth. Three Wisconsin boys picked this one up trolling on the last hour of their four day trip to Lake Erie. I guess this crew had early success with some smaller Walleyes jigging, but chose put in the two (unproductive) days of trolling until they landed this one. Fortunately, they have it all on video too! This one is definitely going on the wall!
