CALUMET-KEWEENAW SPORTSMEN'S CLUB HOSTS GUN & SPORTS SHOW, CALUMET
ARMORY, AUGUST 13-14, 2005

The Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club is sponsoring a Gun & Sports Show at the old Calumet Armory, August 13-14, as a featured event during Calumet Heritage Days. The show will feature guns, knives, taxidermists, woodcarvers, chainsaw artists, archery, fishing, camping and outdoor gear, snowplows, 4-wheelers, jetskis, boats, a kids' airgun shooting gallery, casting contests, good food, bake sale and refreshments.

The show features a fundraiser raffle with drawings for a .308 Seiko-Tikka rifle, 870 Remington 20-gauge shotgun, Knight .50 calibre blackpowder rifle, compound bow, rod and reel, and a Little Chief Electric Smokehouse. Raffle tickets are selling for $2 each or 6 for $10.

There will be on-going hot raffle action throughout the show with prizes from Gerber Legendary Blades, Luhr Jensen, Pure Fishing, Shakespeare, Pflueger, Kahles, MPI Outdoors, Coleman, Crosman, Rapala and other national and local supporters.

Funds go to building a new clubhouse and shooting sports facility on Phoenix Farms Road in Keweenaw County for development of youth programs in hunting safety and target shooting education.
